We are a family run lodge in Mangawhai Heads on the tranquil east coast of New Zealand's north island, about a 90 minute drive north of Auckland. With alluring views of the country side down to the Mangawhai estuary and with a glimpse of Little Barrier Island and the ocean over the ridge top, Barrier View lodge is the perfect place from which to explore the local area. With all of the fine local vineyards, beautiful beaches, one of New Zelandand's finest golf courses and fabulous local eateries, this is the perfect place for a few days away or longer.
We offer short stay accomodation for up to four people in two queen sized rooms, complete with seperate living area, bathroom and outdoor space ensuring complete privacy during your stay. Included in your nightly rate is WiFi, linen, beach towels, kitchenette (it has microwave, benchtop oven and a single hotplate) with fridge/freezer and heat pump/air conditioning. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk is provided.
For that little added relaxation, your host is also a fully qualified relaxation massage therapist who can be booked for some extra pampering.
We would ask that you leave your pets behind when you travel as we cannot accomodate your furry friends at Barrier View.
